An innovative new device for the milking parlour which cows have to stand astride resulting in easier cluster attachment, quicker milking time and better hygiene, is being launched at the Dairy Event 2006.
Installing the device - called a Wetit Wave- onto the milking platform makes cows have to stand with feet either side of it and so stand up straight. This allows quicker and easier attachment and removal of clusters, and ensures the cluster hangs square resulting in a quicker, more efficient milking.
Other benefits of the Wetit Wave are that it reduces kicking and clusters being kicked off. It also shows up any lameness in cows, improves teat spraying accuracy and enables smoother cluster removal. Suitable for rotary parlours. |
